Symposium - Research on the Biology and Diseases of Ageing in Bordeaux

3rd Symposium on the Biology and Diseases of Ageing in Bordeaux.

Amphi Louis, ISPED, Carreire campus

Life expectancy is increasing, yet ageing inevitably brings a higher risk of various illnesses, including cancer, cardiovascular diseases, neurodegenerative disorders, metabolic conditions, and infections. Several research teams at the University of Bordeaux are dedicated to better understanding the mechanisms behind these age-related comorbidities and exploring strategies to prevent or treat them. Their ultimate goal is to slow the effects of ageing and enhance the quality of life for older adults.

Building on the successes of the 2023 and 2024 symposiums, the Bordeaux ageing research community is organizing its third symposium this year. This event will foster the exchange of scientific knowledge, keep the community informed about the latest advances, and promote interdisciplinary collaboration.

The symposium will be held on 18 November 2025 at the Amphi Louis, ISPED, Carreire campus, University of Bordeaux. The program is attached.

Everyone is most welcome to attend this event.
